It is the 55th birthday of the already legendary costume designer Sandy Powell today - yeah yeah she's won three Oscars at this point but she just this year sealed her place in the greatest ever pantheon with Prince Charming's bulge pants, if you ask me.
Oh who are we kidding, she's been a benefactor of the bulge since way back - not only did she do Velvet Goldmine but she's also the lady who outfitted the golden twinks of Derek Jarman's Caravaggio.
Or you know, under-outfitted them. With a most fine precision. So looking through her filmography there were plenty of angles I could've gone with but in the end the following two (speaking of twinks) sitting side by side just seemed too perfect.
