This news broke on Friday but I put a pin in it until this morning so I could post a post of this sort properly because loooook at him - Briton Tom Ellis has been cast as a sexy devil! The sexy devil. Lucifer, to specific - based on Neil Gaiman's comic series, FOX is making a show about the lead-dude of Hades resigning his gig downstairs to go hang out in Los Angeles. (As if LA's not Hell enough already, ba-dum-bum.) Jerry Bruckheimer's producing and Underworld's Len Wiseman is directing the pilot at least - hopefully he'll put Tom in one of Kate Beckinsale's old pleather jumpsuits.
Ellis has been a UK television staple for awhile now, and was rumored to be joining Downton Abbey back when we cared enough about Downton Abbey to do a post about Downton Abbey; that didn't happen but we actually posted about him a second time (both of these links have more pictures, btw) not long thereafter when he was supposed to be playing Dr. Frankenstein in one of the billion Frankenstein projects.
