What Sort Of Costume...

.
... do you suppose the director Tarsem will get Ryan Reynolds to wear, now that they're working together next? He always finds a way to exploit, excuse me celebrate, the male physique with his movies - heck he found a way to do it with Snow White, not only with the prince Armie Hammer but even one of the dwarfs. I'd be fine with the above costume on Ryan. I don't know what place it would have in a consciousness-transplant sci-fi thriller, but if anybody can find a way, it is Tarsem. Here are the details via The Playlist:

"The director is teaming with Ryan Reynolds for Selfless, penned by Alex and David Pastor ("Carriers"). And strap in, because this premise is a little loopy. The thriller would find an older wealthy man, transplanting his mind into the body of younger person. The twist? Turns out the younger body was murdered, and now he has to go on the run from the killers who offed him in the first place, while trying to sort it all out. Umm....yeah....it will at least look good, right?"

Of course now that Tarsem's costume-collaborator Eiko Ishioka has passed maybe he'll go more straightforward with what his folks wear this go-around? That would be terribly sad, wouldn't it? As a side-note, what is Tarsem's deal anyway? If he's straight he has a queerer sensibility than I do, by like a thousand percent, but I couldn't find any info either way.

Is Tarsem gay? The oh-so subtle homosexual iconography peppered through out Losing My Religion says yes he is but since we live in a world where Baz Luhrman and Bruce Weber both have wives I just can't tell anymore.
