Thursday's Ways Not To Die

.

It's Alive (1974)

After that random posting yesterday on Larry Cohen's killer-baby epic I was inspired to watch the film again; it's been maybe fifteen years since the last viewing. And when I saw this scene, I knew I'd have to use it for this series, not because it's necessarily the greatest death scene ever committed to celluloid - you don't really even see anything, although the shot of the spilled milk running down the street is terrific, and I did get to document Killer-Baby-Vision there at the start - but rather for two specific reasons.

Firstly, because it is immediately followed by this brief, hilarious scene where the police NAB THE WRONG BABY FOR THE CRIME:

OMG that baby.

And secondly, it gave me the chance to make this:

Joy.

Forgot about the monster baby vision. There must be "monster baby" hanging in the zeitgeist, cuz I'm working on an "It's Alive" post my own self.
