What's this, another Gary Cooper post? I can't help myself y'all. It was only a couple of months ago that I did a large post devoted to staring at Mr. Cooper's lovely face but I can't get enough. And can you really blame me?

Like I mentioned yesterday I watched two of his 1936 films - Desire and Mr. Deeds Goes to Town - in the span of 24 hours and it was just more than any sane person could withstand without going off the deep-end.

Here are a couple of quotes worth mentioning from actresses who worked with and were familiar (in the intimate sense, ooh la la) with Mr. Cooper.
Marlene Dietrich: "Gary Cooper was neither intelligent nor cultured. Just like the other actors, he was chosen for his physique, which, after all, was more important than an active brain."
Clara Bow: "He's hung like a horse and he can go all night."

I love his face and would do many things to it.
What happened to the very full bathing suit shot?
I'm saving it for another time. I'll surely post on him again (and again, et cetera).
Another 1936 Gary Cooper delight: The General Died at Dawn. When he takes off his shirt, I nearly fainted. That's truly when my Gary Cooper Lust set in.
Ball of Fire (1941).
This is goofy Cooper. Barbara Stanwyck falls in love with him, and so will you (again).
