Well this is a lovely way to start a new week - Sufjan Stevens has announced a new album! No not a new rodeo documentary, no not a new hip-hop collaboration. A new record, with songs made of music on it. Imagine that! It's called Carrie & Lowell, after his mother and stepfather, and it will be out on March 30th. You can already pre-order it at Amazon; there's also a little trailer for it down at the bottom of this post. Pitchfork says it's a "return to his folk roots," which oughta make some people happy.
