I'm glad that we decided to do a conversation-type piece on Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice over at The Film Experience because I really haven't formed the most coherent opinion on the movie just yet, and writing a full-fledged review was gonna be tough. As I say over there I can't stand it when somebody tells me "you have to see such-n-such movie a second time to 'get' it" but that said I personally am looking forward to seeing Vice a second time, to gather a lot of thoughts I have bouncing all around - see if it actually fits into the canister I am ready to stuff it in, that is.Anyway go over there and read it - I'm the friendliest of the bunch to the film, which was met with a lot of weariness from most folks.
