We're coming up on the 84th anniversary of Montgomery Clift's birth in a couple of weeks (October 17th, mark your calendars!) so this morning I watched the below doc (via) on my subway ride; its main virtue is that its length is precisely that of my subway ride, but it is interesting to see Monty's best friend Kevin McCarthy actually talk about him, instead of just reading quotes - to see McCarthy speak of the car accident that left Monty disfigured, to hear him describe coming upon Monty in his car crumpled on the floor covered in blood, is a harrowing thing.
