A Good Marriage in 150 Words or Less

.
I'm sure Stephen King has said as much in interviews but never having read the short story upon which A Good Marriage is based (King himself wrote the screenplay) it's clear this is his stab at writing a Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode; in fact I'm sure those more familiar with those shows on an episode to episode basis could probably name several that are basically the exact same plot as this. So if you're prepared for the smallness of it in that sense - it would've worked on Murder She Wrote too, let's be honest - you won't come away horribly disappointed. It is, after all, a showcase for Joan Allen, which is far too rare and always more than welcome. Joan's what we're here for, and it all might be very very minor but we Allen-coholics, we'll take what we can.
