I've seen Luke pose like this with other men, celebrities. He just landed the lead in an action movie and said he's up for a romantic lead in another. I don't think he (or the movie studios) is ready to be fully out yet. He's still hiding in plain site, not famous enough for the mainstream media to care about his preference yet.

Still don't understand why so many single him out, when SO many other celebrities are much more devoted to hiding their sexuality than he is. He barely even tries to hide it, he just doesn't really talk about it. I am sure his agent and manager and such pressure him to sign up for fake relationships with famous women to boost his profile and such and I actually somewhat respect him for NOT doing it. If the worst he does is not continually announce that he's gay, I have no problem with that. Unless there is something I am missing, he doesn't pretend to be straight. He is "hiding" in plain sight. Matt Bomer never used to mention his husband/partner either and would keep mum about his sexuality. Why is he not equally persecuted?
James - it was actually him trying to push a hetero relationship that started all the drama back in 2010. I harp on him because he was on the record in a bunch of gay publications before that talking about his loo-ooo-oove for cock, and then he got some big roles and hello beard. I agree with all you said about since then - that he seems to have learned his lesson and just doesn't talk about his personal life at all now. But that was just too ridiculous and he's never addressed it. An elephant never forgets!
I don't think actors have to be role models, that's the job of politicians and the like, but I believe they should at least try not to be negative models. And going back to the closet to get better jobs sends a terrible message. He didn't need to send any message at all, but he chose to send the wrong one. For me, it's just as bad as any bigot.
I think we should just ignore him and let him fall into the "could've been someone" category where I am sure Sam Worthington and Ryan Reynolds are bored waiting. I'll do my part and won't say anything else about him in any future post.

Well, I don't know if Jon Kortajarena (I love saying that name...KortaHarena!) is gay but these images did make their way onto the internet which do paint a particularly homosexual picture. It's not Luke Evans with him but an actor named Alfonso Bassave. So our boy seems to have a type, just sayin' ;)

Sorry to break it to you but Luke has a bf, not this Jon guy and he's still hiding. Someone posted a story on DL about Luke and the bf being in the audience of a BBC show so I watched it online and indeed the two seemed to be doing their best to not be caught on camera together. The show was recorded around 18/19 of May.
Fact is he wouldn't be considered for these action movies if he was out. If he's ok with the way he lives his life and his bf, family and friends are ok with it then who are we to judge? Let him do the song and dance to make that Hollywood money he'll get tired of it soon enough, they all do.
You are right: he has the right to live his life the way he wants but I'm not so sure about 'get tired of Hollywood money'. Who'd be tired of a life of privilege? Who wouldn't like to be spoiled everywhere?
He's unemployed since last August but we can see him all around, wearing fancy clothes, partying all the time...
It's not a kind of life that anyone would let go.
