Elementary My Dear Wait What's That?

.

Is it really possible that I'm only just now finding out that my beloved Tim aka Martin Freeman plays Watson on the BBC series Sherlock? That question is rhetorical since the answer is very much a yes, but it dumbfounds me. I guess I was always so blinded by the words "Benedict" and "Cumberbatch" in such close proximity to notice anything else going on. I had a friend recommend Sherlock recently - should I watch it? You people have any opinion on this or what?

Oh YES! It's one of the best things out there. Both Freeman and Cumberbatch are brilliant.

You should watch it. Both Freeman and Cumberbatch are amazing in it. Especially in the (just finished) second series where Watson and Sherlock just interact like an old married couple.

(also, the guy who plays Moriarty is dementedly brilliant)

Yes, you should watch it. The first viewing is always a gas because of the way the production "solves the problem" of bringing Holmes into the present. Cumberbatch and Freeman are fun to watch and clever in their interpretations of Holmes and Watson. Go on, you'll like it ;-)

Do!

It's patchy but ultra fun, think of it as a cartoon Social Network. And it has style you just don't see on tv- it's mostly directed by Paul Mc Guigan who made one of my favourite pretty-but-dumb films, Push.

Wow that's a yes then! Thanks for the info, y'all. I'll toss it on my Netflix queue and have at it. (Once I finish Homeland, that is.)

Yes! Can't believe you just heard this!

Haven't seen the second series yet, but I liked the first one. The second episode isn't GREAT but still.

Yes, yes, yes! See it! Trust us, you won't regret it. Since it was only a handful of episodes, you can make a night of it.

This series is honestly amazing and Sherlock and Watson's bromance is adorable!

It also has Rupert Scudder Graves being all silver haired and foxy if you need a little more convincing ;D

What shocked me more than you not having known this before was you asking if you should watch it. Well, let me say Sherlock is one of the most exciting series on TV right now. And cute Tim looks both adorable and very adorable on it, so I guess the answer you're looking for is: sure.

Yes, watch it! It is a high quality re-imagining of Sherlock Holmes. The story lines are great, the acting is full of great chemistry, and then they use inventive and cool graphics and camera angles. My Dad is very picky about his Sherlock stories and even he is counting the days until the BBC gives us more episodes.
All and all, as a Sherlock story and a mystery story I say it is high recommended!
