It's Time For Dom's Horror Movie

.
Dominic Cooper took his first stab at a serious leading role with The Devil's Double and proved he's got charm - plus other wonderful qualities - to spare, so the next box on the path to stardom that he'll need to check off is a low-risk sort of more mainstream leading man role... the husband in a horror movie will do. Horror movies don't usually live or die (heh) by their cast... that is, I mean that box-office-wise. If a horror movie flops it doesn't usually get blamed on the actors therein. It's all about a scary idea or trailer. I don't mean the acting isn't important, of course - if it's good then it's what separates the wheat from the chaff. But they're a good way to raise your profile without putting a lot on the line.

Anyway according to STYD he and Liv Tyler are "circling" (I love that visual, as if their carrion birds or hyenas) The Cure, in which they'd play a married couple where she's sick with a mysterious illness so he finds some "strange doctor for an unconventional form of treatment. This cure ultimately turns her into a blood-craving killer." Especially promising is that this is set to be directed by Dennis Iliadis, whose remake of The Last House on the Left was far far better than it had any right to be.

Tyler does suffering well - dewy eyes, check; weak chin, check - but it'll be interesting to see her go rabid - remember those parts in Lord of the Rings where she stood her ground? They were good. As for Dom well I don't even have to say anything anymore, it all comes out as ass-riddled hyperbole at this point. Think yay.
