Jake Likes To Watch

.
Meh. I was hoping he'd make Damn Yankees or that Joe Namath bio-pic next. You know, something that'd require him wearing a jockstrap. But I guess he wants to keep trying his hand at Action Man. Via Variety:

"David Ayer is set to write and direct cop drama "End of Watch," with Jake Gyllenhaal in early discussions to star...

Plot details are vague; pic's being described as a gritty drama that follows the friendship between longtime partners.

... Ayer is no stranger to this genre, having already penned scripts for "Training Day," "S.W.A.T." and the Christian Bale vehicle "Harsh Times," which Ayer wrote and directed. He most recently directed Keanu Reeves in "Street Kings."

Gyllenhaal has been beefing up his action-hero status, starring in Disney's "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" last summer. He has Summit's sci-fi thriller "Source Code" coming this month.

As first reported by Variety, Gyllenhaal has been mentioned as a contender for the lead in The Bourne Legacy..."

I don't foresee any opportunities for jockstraps in this film. Boo!!! In related news - related to him beefing up, that is - JJ has a few new shots of him jogging with his doggy Atticus. You know they're not exciting if I'm not bothering to post them here though. Lose the giant highlighter-yellow windbreaker and get back to this look Jake and we can talk.

In related related news, I got my copy of Love and Other Drugs today! For a movie I hated I sure was excited to get a copy on DVD. Hmm I wonder why that would be...
