Cave of Forgotten Dreams in 170 Words or Less

.
I intended to start this by saying that Herzog's new doc could've stood to lose twenty minutes but then I look up how long it is and gasped at seeing it's only 95 minutes. So realizing it feels so much longer when it's actually already pretty brief is momentarily tainting my view of it somewhat, which is a shame, because I liked it.

The 3D is marvelously effective at transporting you into this space where you know you'll never be, and bringing the sensation of it to life - these ancient surfaces seem so present, so tactile, it takes effort to not raise your hand up as if you could touch the cave wall. There were multiple amusing moments where you'd catch the whole audience around you straining their head to one side attempting to get a better view. It envelopes in a very real and at times awe-inspiring way, and the beauty of the caves is undeniable and at times profoundly resonant.

I´m dying to watch this movie! A Herzog documentary is even better than a Herzog fiction.

In a non related topic, maybe you´ll be interested in knowing that the new Almodovar film has 5 new posters. You can check them here:

Who knows. Maybe the movie that Almodovar really likes is "Saw" after all...
