I Am Link

.
--- How Goode Is Super - Today's Superman rumor has attached itself to Brit-boy Matthew Goode, who was badly cast as Ozymandias in Zach Snyder's Watchmen. He'd be a somewhat better fit for Clark Kent, but the Supes half of the question is still... a question.

Although as DH suggests in this world where someone with a body like Ryan Reynolds is CG'd to be evn more super-suit perfect Goode could obviously be bulked up in post-production to meet the Super-stud's needs. I do like Matthew Goode. I just think Henry Cavill's a better choice.

--- Cool Story of the Day - How a workman found an original 1933 print of King Kong wedged in the wall of an old theater in London. I love how Universal told them the theater that it owed thousands of dollars in late fees for the print's having been gone for decades but they'd waive them if they could just have their super-crazy rare print back now, please. Assholes.

--- Finals Time Again - BD has the first couple of images from Final Destination 5 - hooray absence of 5nal (read ANAL)! - and they're predictably boring. The first images from the FD movies are always boring shots of people being scared looking at something. Still hi Nicholas D'Agosto, adorable boy. FD5 is out at the end of August.
--- The ReThingening - I can't recall if I mentioned that The Thing prequel had been snatched off of the calendar for reshoots, but... well, The Thing prequel got snatched off of the calendar for reshoots. Now it's got a new date, just in time for Halloween 2011. Which I do think proves some enthusiasm on the studio's behalf for the film. Which god I hope it's good.

--- 2nd Stab - Celebrate, Glenn's begun his scene-by-scene dissection of Scream 2! We start at a very good place the beginning with the unfortunate stabby deaths of Omar Epps and Jada Pinkett. Some gorgeous shots in this scene that I'd forgotten (that one of Jada on the stage screaming!).
