Almodóvar & Banderas! Horror Movie!

.
Of course calling an Almodóvar movie something so straightforward as to adhere to one specific genre is tomfoolery, I know this, but it still sounds pretty horror-iffic just from the concept. Via STYD:

"Pedro Almodóvar and Antonio Banderas are reuniting for the Spanish revenge film La piel que habito.

Banderas would star in this described "horror story without screams or shocks" (although I can't image there is any avoiding the former) about a surgeon who takes revenge on the man who raped his daughter. Almodóvar is "loosely" adapting Thierry Jonquet's "Mygale" and has been at work on the script for years."

It might be hard to recall, but once upon a time Antonio Banderas was actually enjoyable on-screen! Way back when he and Pedro worked together. Can Pedro make the same magic happen again, like he worked upon one-time joke Penny Cruz? We will see.
