Jean-Paul Belmondo In Mississippi Mermaid

.

Who needs special effects when you've got Jean-Paul Belmondo and Catherine Deneuve in their primes wandering through your movie? That was my thought while watching Truffaut's 1969 Mississippi Mermaid this past weekend. And let the other sites devote their ogling-shenanigans to the admittedly (duh) lovely Miss Deneuve - my eyes never left Belmondo. What comes to mind when talking about him in this film is Daniel Craig in his second Bond picture - not the first one because unfortunately there's nothing here as eye-searing as Craig in that square-cut swimsuit - where the clothes they wear are so obscenely tailored to their bodies that it's practically indecent looking at them while they're fully dressed. So here are a bunch of pictures of Mr. Belmondo showing us all how effortless Sex - with a capital Sex - can be sold when you're the walking embodiment of it.
