Today's Fanboy Delusion

Today I'd rather be...

... off to the island of Capri with Julie Christie and friends.

These are from John Schlesinger's 1965's film Darling (which won Christie the Oscar of course), and I want to build a time-machine so I can marry the dude in front wearing the glasses. I love you, skimpy-swimsuited glasses-man of the past! Whoever you are! The guy to Christie's right in the black trunks isn't too bad either. Here he is fully dressed and flirting with her gay photographer friend:

I had no idea this movie was gonna be as queer as it was going into it. But grateful for it, I am. Grateful. And Christie was, of course, wonderful.
