Daisies Is Back, Y'all!

BUMP! Moving this post back up to the top so any stragglers will see it and realize they must turn the ol' telly to ABC at 8pm and watch Pushing Daisies! Must! Do! It!
.

That's right, after five thousand weeks without a new episode of the exciting and whimsical adventures of Ned the Pie-Maker & Friends, we are indeed being treated to a new hour of wonder this very evening! Rejoice!

In tonight's very special episode we get to know Ned's adorable half-brothers a little better. They're, shockingly, adorable.

I want that reindeer sweater with every fiber of my being.

Special guests include Fred Willard as The Great Hermann, a magician with a pet-assistant problem, and Kerri Kenney as his long-suffering human assistant.

Let's get real: This show needs you to watch. I know that I'm preaching to the Daisies-loving choir here, but if we all call up somebody we love that doesn't watch the show and tell them we won't love them anymore unless they do watch the show, well just think what that would do for the ratings! An immediate doubling! Hell, call a bunch of people and threaten them with instant hatred! It's like paying it forward, if the "it" was rage!

Tonight's episode made me angry. Well first it made me cry, tears streaming down my face. There's a scene towards the end, you'll know it when it comes, that's one of the most touching things this show has given us, and that's saying a lot since this thing has got so much heart that it's exploding off the screen. You're wiping heart-meat off your face every commercial break! And so from there, post-tears, I got mad. Mad that a show this good, this smart and funny and brimming with life and creativity... that something this wonderful can be teetering so constantly on the brink. Why are people so content to watch the same drivel every day of their lives? The same jokes, the same pictures, the same lack of anything being stirred up. Eyes glazed over, barely registering a thought. Daisies has so much to give! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll want to hug the world and tell the world that you are not made of hugs at the same time!

I'll step off the soapbox. It's all been said before. Watch the show tonight - 8pm on ABC - next week, every chance that we can have the opportunity and the pleasure of enjoying what Bryan Fuller and the gang are giving us. It's golden.

OMG, I also think the twins are so adorable. I was waiting for you to say that since we first met them.
