"I now forgive Calvin Klein for previously hiring Justin Bieber as a model. I literally stopped buying the brand at that. I will reconsider now."--- MNPP commenter Dan approves, as do we all, of CK's use of Aaron Taylor-Johnson as their latest underwear model. Our baby boy is looking good!

OH MY GOD AREN'T KIDS SO FUNNY?! THERE'S NOTHING I LOVE MORE THAN WATCHING KIDS JUMP AROUND ON SUGAR RUSHES AND MAKE FUNNY FACES! KIDS AREN'T ANNOYING AT ALL! NEITHER ARE MONKEYS!
heh. To be fair, rj, Spritle & Chim-Chim weren't any more annoying in the movie than they were in the TV show. I've never been a huge fan of the show, only seen bits and pieces, but I have to say that the Wachowskis were painstakingly accurate to the emotional/human reality of the show; it might be the most straight-forward adaptation I've ever seen, for good and for bad. Spritle & Chim-Chim were always annoying, and the plot-line, though ridiculously drawn out, was vintage Speed. My main problem with the film was the length. This thing should've been 45 minutes shorter and had far fewer "conversations".
I'm going to go see this at the local IMAX theatre. I'm sure I'll have to pick up pieces of my brain from the back of the theatre when it over.
The Wachowski bros certainly put a lot of effort into making Speed Racer... but the movie overall looked and felt like a cross between anime, a kaleidoscope, that Flintstones movie, a video game and the Dukes of Hazard
