There aren't enough positive adjectives in the world for me to be able to capture the love I feel for Nancy's mother in the original Elm St. She's one of my favorite characters of all time. No one has ever made crippling alcoholism funnier. Seemingly every single time that Blakley is on-screen, she's pulling another bottle of booze out of the most ridiculous of hiding spots - from under the towels in the hallway closet; from under her sheets as she lay in bed! Oh how I love her. I want to be her when I grow up.
