Hey Glenn!

I was just gonna email this bit o' news as something happy for Glenn from Stale Popcorn to wake up to over in Australia (Glenn's got a Jamie Bell... fixation... that he's documented all on his own), but I figured I could do an eensy post at the same time since I've semi-reluctantly spoken about Daniel Radcliffe's Equus stint on several occasions.

From The Daily Mail (via Towleroad):

"Billy Elliot boy lined up for 'full monty'

He became a child star overnight when he appeared as the working-class ballet prodigy in the hit film Billy Elliot. But Jamie Bell, now 21, seemed to fade into obscurity, having failed to match his early career success.

Now the Newcastle-born actor... plans an attention-grabbing return to the public arena – he is to take over from Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe in the West End play Equus, in which he performs a nude sex scene.

‘Jamie is really excited about taking over and isn’t at all daunted about stripping off,’ says a source. The same can’t be said of Orlando Bloom who, I hear, turned down the raunchy role."

They're a little bit rough on Jamie - I wouldn't say he'd faded into obscurity, what with being in the King Kong remake and plenty of other films - but tis a British tabloid talking here after all, and they're prone to fits of whimsy, if you will (on the same note, we'll have to see if this turns out to be true or not).

But I imagine we may be seeing a whole new round of pervy promo shots coming down the line soon, if this turns out to be true, so do stay tuned, esp. over at Stale Popcorn I'd imagine...

I was thinking we might have to stage a big fundraiser to "Send Glenn to See Billy's Equus"...

Totally! I'm sure we could get away with a one-way ticket, too, because HE WON'T EVER WANT TO LEAVE. :)

Aww, that'd be awesome!

But, yes, here's hoping they're more forthcoming with the nudie shots too, than they were with Daniel. Jamie always struck me as an actor who'd go balls out on camera anyway, at some stage.

And, yeah, Jamie only faded into obscurity because he took time off and then decided to make smaller indie films but he did do King Kong and Flags of Our Fathers and he's making a Doug Liman sci-fi film, so...

Anyway, THANK YOU!
