The Signal

.
If the geeks at AICN are to be believed - and yeah, sometimes they are - then we've got the Must-See Horror Film of 2007 being witnessed at Sundance this week.

It's called The Signal, and it's filmed in three parts by three different new directors, all dealing with the same story (a story which actually sounds very much like Stephen King's book The Cell - which is soon to be turned into a film by MNPP-fave Eli Roth). Here's IMDb's semi-useless blurb:

"Told in three parts from three perspectives, The Signal is a horrific journey towards the discovery that the most brutal violent monster might actually be within all of us. "

There are two reviews of the film up at AICN, one here and one here, and they're both ecstatic raves. If you want more details on the film, check those out, but they do get spoilery and I'm trying to avoid that this early in the game.

They've also got the news that the film got picked up pretty much immediately by Magnolia.

And Bloody Disgusting has got an interview with one of the film's directors, David Bruckner.

If this thing keeps getting these sorts of raves, I'm sure you'll be hearing more about it here. Stay tuned!
