Sisters Trailer

.
WTF? Someone's remaking Brian DePalma's Sisters? Not sure how I missed that news, but via The Horror Blog I found the link to Twitch Film which has the trailer.

Sisters is one of my fave DePalma films; it's by no means perfect, you can feel DePalma's relative newness in feeling out his niche in it, but it's fun and it's pretty and twisted enough. Plus, Margot Kidder in the 70's was always a joy to behold (before, ya know, she started diving into bushes on crack or whatever she was doing).

THB describes the trailer thusly:

"I’m not sure if this is the regular trailer or one cobbled together for potential distributors, but it’s quite lengthy and gives away a fair amount, so be warned, if you haven’t seen the original there are a few spoilers.

I’m interested to see how [director Douglas] Buck’s flat, emotionally distant style translates to this story. The trailer makes it seem almost as if it will be filtered through Cronenberg in much the same way De Palma channels Hitchcock."
