Oooh, the Elephant Walk is tonight! Yay!
When the circus comes to town, they march the elephants down the streets to get to their final destination (Madison Square Garden) since the train only carries them as far as Queens. Their walk begins right in my neighborhood, actually, only a five-minute walk from my front door. We went a couple years ago (that's my pic above), and it made me giddy, so I'm excited for tonight.
And yes, the circus is cruel blah blah elephant cakes. They're so cute! Especially the babies! And they're in the city! It's so incongruously delightful.
