Great Moments In Movie Shelves #19

.
Jaume Collet-Serra's 2009 trashterpiece Orphan was on TV last night and I of course got completely caught up in it, as one does with such outstanding nonsense cinema, and I'd forgotten...

... what real-estate porn the film is. The house that Vera Farmiga & Peter Sarsgaard live in is a modern dream, and it's constantly shot like somebody jizzed all over an issue of Architectural Digest.

It is my Nancy Meyers movie.

And so much of it centers around the gorgeous living-room bookshelves that I could've capped half of the movie with characters sitting and standing and being murdered around them. It's glorious! There are even scenes of characters peering with evil intent through the free-standing shelves...

... because why spend your time anywhere else?
