A Shadowy Fassy Shaped Figure

.
Yahoo's got that there our first look at Michael Fassbender in his costume for the video-game adaptation Assassin's Creed, which is supposed to be out next December, and which co-stars his Lady MacBeth Marion Cotillard and is being directed by his Mr. MacBeth director Justin Kurzel. He's awfully covered up but then I guess hoping for a loincloth was maybe unrealistic. Sigh. Anyway Yahoo also shares information on the character that Michael is playing, which has been a big mystery til now (and it indeed sounds like daydreams of loincloths will have to stay daydreams for now, sigh):

"Before hardcore Assassin's Creed gamers start scratching their heads (and filling up the comments) about how exactly Callum Lynch fits into the game world, we can tell you that Fassbender’s character was created specifically for the film. (The movie isn’t retelling any of the existing games, but rather introducing new characters into the same world.) Lynch discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day."
