On Your Knees, Dominic Cooper

.
It just goes to show ya how distracted I've been this week that it's taken me several days to get around to the news that Dominic Cooper was finally confirmed to be taking on the leading role in AMC's latest comics adaptation Preacher. Executive Producer Seth Rogen tweeted the news on Friday.

.
The rumor that Dom was taking the roll began at the start of March; other names were filled in first, including Dom's real-world girlfriend Ruth Negga, which seemed to point in his general direction, but I guess it took them some time to hammer down the details.

Preacher is about a man on a literal quest for God, who has apparently abandoned mankind. There are lots of angel and demon things, and vampires I think? It sounds like it could be fun, in that rock and roll From Dusk Til Dawn kinda way. Hopefully more FDTD than that flop Legion which is also resembles, anyway. Have any of you read it? Oh and there's new news on the project today - Elizabeth Perkins just joined the cast too.
