An interview with Jake is always something I half dread since he can be so goddamned self-serious - he'd definitely be somebody who'd mention his "craft" to John Waters and get a boot in the shin - so I'm happy to report that this one with Variety is on the softer side of the insufferable scale. He only quotes TS Eliot once, and he allows the reporter to do crunches with him. (No gym pictures though.)
