Clever Girl

.
The "clever girl" of this post's title refers to Anna Faris of course. That's a new picture of her hubby Chris Pratt in Jurassic World (via). So have any of you seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet? I am seeing it tomorrow, and you could say that I am excited. You could say that. Let me know what you think of it in the comments!

I liked it. A lot. And considering that I have until now found the marvel movies underwhelming, the fact that I'm out and proud with it is... Something. It has swagger for sure and it doesn't feel like bland commitee work. Between this and Super, you feel like it's the same person and sensibility.

No spoilers but there was a moment at the end of the movie that I found positively electrifying. I think I want to see it again.

It was fantastic, and quite irreverent, with snappy one-liners flying here and there. This movie screams out "FUN" and that's what you'll have while watching it, it's truly a rollicking space adventure.

@Bendt, are you talking about the "Ooh Child" moment? That was the best fun I've had while watching a Marvel movie ever. :-)

@Corky, it's that dance followed by that, um, something. It's silly, funny and serious, and awesome. :-)

It was really great - possibly the funniest movie I've seen so far this year. Excellent special effects, music and fleshed-out characters.

Also, Chris Pratt is hot.

I am Groot.

Loved it! Maybe one of my favorite Marvel movies, or at least up there in the top 2, to date. Incredibly funny, great special effects, great cast!

I'm AMAZED I liked it as much as I did. I thought Chris Pratt was absolutely dreamy. I read someone said he was everybody's idea of the Perfect boyfriend. Indeed and wolf! Loved the CGI characters. I could see it again just to watch them. I listened to the soundtrack today walking to see GET ON UP and it gave me a laugh. SPOILER: I hope they put out a Volume II of the soundtrack. Fun Film!

The teaser trailer at the end the credits has me wondering if they could possibly be seriously considering what it implies.

We are Groot.
