Two Tom Hardys

.
This right here is about the best news to start a week with as I can imagine, short of a marriage proposal from Nikolaj Coster-Waldau during my morning commute - Tom Hardy is in talks to play Ronald and Reginald Kray, twin brothers slash criminal psychopaths who terrorized London back in the 50s and 60s. Yes, he's in talks to play both brothers, keeping in sync with what I was just saying last week about the hottest trend right now being the use of CG to double up my favorite hot men so every corner of the screen can be stuffed with them and their self-love posing as homoerotic tension.

Here that tension might become very real, since Ronnie Kray was openly bisexual - in the 1990 film (which I loooooved at the time but haven't seen in quite awhile - time for a revisit!) the gay content is very much integral to the story, and one can only hope that a couple decades worth of progress might make it even moreso. With Tom Hardy playing Elton John and now this, it could be a very gay (as in queer) year ahead for him, and a very gay (as in happy) one for the rest of us. (thanks Mac)
