Outside Llweyn Davis

.
I've for some reason still not seen Intolerable Cruelty so this statement's only ninety-seven-point-five percent factual, but Inside Llweyn Davis is the first Coens movie that I haven't loved in forever and a day, sad to say. What is it that left me cold? Is it because I am a dog person? Is it Justin Timberlake's smug facial hair that out-acts him? Or is it just that I think...

... that you should head over to The Film Experience where you can read my whole review for the movie? Yeah, it's definitely that one. Go on over, hear me whine and complain, it'll be fun for everybody! Then yes come back here and tell me all about how I'm a bastard for disliking Oscar Isaac. I'm prepared.

Interesting review. "Intolerable Cruelty" is kind of a mess. But then I'm one of the only people on the planet who can't stand "The Big Lebowski." I almost walked out of it. It came out 6 months after Danny Boyle's "A Life Less Ordinary" (which I also hated) and I remember thinking "Why are these great directors making these self-indulgent, masturbatory films?" Maybe it's because I quit smoking pot after college. I don't know a pothead who doesn't worship Lebowski.

Something tells me that it will be up for all of the major awards this year. I have seen the trailer a few times and it looks like they wanted to do something different and JT is everywhere these days.

I dont know man, I've only seen Oscar Isaac in Drive and Sucker Punch, and now all of a sudden I'm supposed to be worshipping at his altar? Yeah I dont think so, and the Coens don't have a perfect record with me so I'm not that excited for this.
