Look at that tuft of shock-white in Jake's beard! Where the hell did that come from? Did he see a naked girl or something? How terrifying for him, poor dear. Well we have actual Jake news - apparently he's tested out for the role of one of the princes in Rob Marshall's movie version of Stephen Sondheim's musical Into the Woods. In the play the two princes are played by the same actor but in the movie they are apparently casting two different actors and the rumor goes that Jake's up for one and Chris Pine is up for the other. What a heterosexual set this will be! So many big bushy beards around. And if you cannot recall that Jake can totally sing, watch this:

The two princes are played by two actors. It's that Cinderella's prince usually also plays the wolf for Red Riding Hood.
They must be two actors since they sing the hilarious duet and reprise "Agony," mocking the flightiness of fairy tale princes, only interested in "what's out of reach" not the actual lady...

Why not James Marsdeeeen?! I love Jake and want him to be in it, but I think Chris Pine is up for the other. You have an obvious casting choice staring you in the face, Rob Marshall! This is now the second time that I wanted Marsden to play something. Grrrr!
AND-not only is Cinderella's prince (persumably the role going to Jake)SUPPOSED to also play the Wolf, they aren't doing that here. Johnny Depp is up for the Wolf-trying ruin yet another great thing from my childhood with his nauseating, mugging presence. Willy Wonka wasn't enough. Sweeney Todd wasn't enough. BARNABAS COLLINS wasn't enough. God, I hate that fucking guy.
