Coop Shoots, Scores Spielberg

.
Second Bradley Cooper news story of the day! His publicist just booked a massage tomorrow. He's just signed up to star in American Sniper for no less than Steven Spielberg - it's an adaptation of a book by a Navy SEAL about a sniper who shot the most people in Army history during Iraq, which led to insurgents putting a price on his head, yadda yadda - basically it's the mini-propaganda-movie "Nation's Pride" from Inglourious Basterds, but American.

Nation's Pride is actually stolen from that old Gary Cooper movie, Sergeant York, which is exactly the same story but American. He won an Oscar, but it's a MESS, which is part of why this is worrying me so much. Spielberg attempt at measured patriotic hero-worship was bad enough in Lincoln, but this sounds almost impossible to pull off without being shrieky.
