Even though we kinda thought Sinister stunk (moratorium on ghost kids, stat) that hasn't stopped us from repeatedly posting on director Scott Derrickson's follow-up, the paranormal cop thriller called Beware the Night. How has Mr. Derrickson managed this feat? He's gone and told his casting director to hire all of the hot pieces in all of the land, that's how. All of them! Eric Bana has been set as the film's lead for awhile now; then in April Edgar Ramirez joined the cast as a priest that bana's cop teams up with to fight evil spirits or whatever. And apparently Mr. Derrickson won't be happy until my eyeballs pop right the eff out of their sockets come movie-time because today they've gone and cast Joel McHale as Eric Bana's partner. So my point is that hopefully once they get these chaps on set they'll realize that this "evil spirit" junk is beside the point and shoot the movie we all really wanna see. Bow chicka wah wahhh...
