I Am Link

.
--- Black Bird - It probably wouldn't have occurred to me without this push, but Tom Hiddleston might just be a fantastic pick for The Crow, don't you think? He'll bring a real Jack Skellington edge to the character that could be very fine, very fine indeed. Apparently Hiddles sent the producers pictures of himself in the make-up after meeting with them, and they liked what they saw. What a go-getter. Of course, Sean Young got driven out of the busienss for being so pushy... but she's a girl.

--- Mann Lady - Michael Mann doesn't have that great a rep for using actresses all that well in his movies, but he just signed a helluva actress up for that "cyber thriller" he's making with Chris Hemsworth - Viola Davis will be the female lead. Yay a part for Viola! But "cyber thriller" + non-American man opposite strong black female... Strange Days 2 anybody? Ooh or maybe he's secretly making Y: The Last Man!

--- Super Ken - In Zach-Snyder-centric news, there are a few posters for Man of Steel and the 300 sequel over at The Playlist, none of which are too terribly exciting. There is a full body shot of Henry Cavill in the suit though, seen to the right there - I'm realizing that by nixing the red underoos portion of the usual costume they've managed to non-accentuate the bulge and destabilize our chatter; the crafty devils. Our leering eyes are denied!

--- Anti Venom - And speaking of superheroes - because what else is there to talk about, ever? - he first official pictures of Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan in the second Spider-Man movie were released over the weekend but again, nothing too thrilling. Unless you really like the sight of comb-overs? I hope no one answers yes to that.

--- Pre Doctor - Hannibal star Mads Mikkelson won Best Actor at Cannes last year for The Hunt, the new film from Danish director Thomas Vinterberg, and that movie now has a trailer which you can watch right here. It will be released here in the US this Summer.

--- Tee Vengeance - Several brand new pictures from Nicholas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives, with Ryan Gosling and Kristen Scott Thomas, can be seen over here, including a couple of Ryan looking adorable slash threatening in a simple white t-shirt.

--- On Spooks - Over at Stale Popcorn Glenn takes on two recent horror movies - Simon Killer, which I still haven't seen dang it all to heck, and Kiss of the Damned, which I have seen and reviewed. He concurs with me on Milo in the latter.

I want to be attracted to Tom Hiddleston but he's so foreheady and elbowy
