Quote of the Day II

“The scene where I’m behind him and going at him, we did that in one take. We do it. Cut. There’s a long pause. And then you just hear Steven go, 'Well… I have no notes.'"

-- That's Matt Damon on filming one of the apparently many sex scenes between himself and Michael Douglas in Behind the Candelabra, the Liberace bio-pic from Steven Soderbergh that airs on HBO on May 26th. EW just posted their new cover, seen there to the right, and a few quotes from the article. Head over there to hear Matt also talk about getting his ass-crack spray-tanned! Also - Debbie Reynolds plays Liberace's mother? Good lord, this movie's already blown my mind.

I read I think on IMDB that it was supposed to be released in theatres but every major studio passed on it calling it 'too gay'. Steven Soderberg directed and stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, this is 2013 right?

Does the gay community really need a movie about this faggot? He represents everything bigots detest about gay people. He was the personification of the stereotype hateful heteros conjure when they think of what it means to be gay. Won't this film just add fuel to the already out of control fire?

Why not make a biopic about a gay entertainer like Merv Giffin? Oh yeah, that's right, it wouldn't give the str8 people anything to laugh at.
