Quote of the Day

.
“In a weird way, it’s kind of a relief to think, ‘Oh, I know I’m not that young sort of pretty thing anymore. It’s quite nice talking about what it was like to be the young pretty thing, rather than being it.”

-- That's Jude Law passing the eye-candy torch to the astonishingly well-bootied Aaron Johnson, his Anna Karenina co-star. I'm like Anna - give me both of them, or I'll throw myself in front of a goddamned train! Uh, spoiler alert.

No, but that was the thing, though, right? About Jude Law? His supreme beautiful golden boy-hood (Ripley, Gattaca) and then the subsequent gradual ebbing away of that youthful glow, and that weird discomforting feeling of watching him try to hold on to it as the years passed. Good that he feels like he can finally let it go. It must really be some kind of burden, to have looked like THAT for a brief moment of one's life. How does one move on?

OMG. MUCH hotter like this. I prefer this rugged version of him TOTALLY over the "pretty young thing" look. He's aging like a fine wine--I love the beard and the bit of weight he's put on for the movie he's doing right now and honestly hope he keeps some of the added heft on his frame. It really adds some gravitas to him. There's something abuot him now that makes me absolutely crazy. Like, I can barely stand looking at him without practically having to utter some sort of guttural, animalistic noises in appreciation. I LOVE "new" Jude almost as much as nude Jude.
