I have a dentist's appointment today, so dental hygiene's on my mind. Teeth, y'all! Anyway because the world needed an actor to fill in the "Chris Martin" spot, here's Kris Holden-Reid, who turns 39 today. He's Canadian and seems to have done a lot of TV up there - including something called Lost Girl, which is what that above shot's from and looks sort of True Blood-ish in that it has to do with fantasy creatures being sexy. From what I can tell he spent a lot of time unclothed on it. Here in the US you maybe could've seen him on The Tudors or in the last Underworld movie. He was also on Degrassi. Lost Girl is pretty fun if you stick with it...and drink.
The writers have a very-clued-in-to-the-fanbase a la Xena latter days. Some good snarky dialogue and the skinny goth chic was in BLACK SWAN!
Yay, Lost Girl! My latest favourite guilty pleasure. It's so trashy, and there's been some huge writing fails, but it's been quite pleasingly progressive about the protagonist's sexuality, and I adore the frienship between her and her sidekick, who is awesome.
Anyway, Kris Holden-Reid plays Dyson, who is a shapeshifter and one of the protagonist's love interests. I'm not such a fan of Dyson, he's one of those super angsty bad boy types - in the second season particularly - and I'm sort of sick of that type of character. But he is apparently allergic to clothes, so if you're looking for fanservice he should be pretty suitable.
