(click to embiggen) From the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (via), there's your first look at some concept art for Bryan Fuller's re-vamp (har) of The Munsters called Mockingbird Lane. I say it's your first look because I've already seen it all - indeed I've seen more! I am special. Anyway the costumes and the sets are going to be killer, you guys. Lily's costumes are these incredible ornate things. You should totally be excited about this. And in case you can't read it, here's what the article above says:

Here's Bryan Fuller's pitch for his Munsters reboot project, Mockingbird Lane: "We want this to be an American Harry Potter," says the Pushing Daisies creator. "Any story you can tell on Parenthood, we can run through a monster prism and tell in a twisted way. It's an American Horror Story the whole family can watch." No wonder NBC is excited about Fuller's darkly comic reimagining of the 1960s classic. Though the pilot won't shoot until June, these artist renderings of Lily (not yet cast) and Grandpa (Eddie Izzard) indicate that the modern-day Munsters are very smartly dressed. Joining the vampire pair will be Herman and his werewolf son Eddie. Fuller also hopes to include other horrors from the Universal library, such as the Creature From the Black Lagoon and the Invisible Man. As for the family's abode at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, Fuller kept things classically spooky. "We wanted the feeling of the original, "he says, " a house children walk past faster than other houses."

Izzard? Izzard is in this? As Grandpa? That might be the most imagined piece of stunt-casting I've heard of in a long long while. And you know he's just gonna swing for the fences just to see what will score. Awesome news.
