He's gone? Gutted... It feels like a bigger loss than I expected it to.

'Easy Rider', 'Apocalypse Now', 'Blue Velvet', 'True Romance', 'Speed' - the guy virtually embodied the changes - good and bad - American cinema went through over the past fifty years.

I was watching him in 'Giant' the other day - so young and charming, long before type-casting got him.

Here's to the suave fucker...
