I've been paying attention to the slowly streaming news coming from V remake-land - Scott Wolf as the male lead? He still exists? - but this is the first time I've found myself excited. Via AICN:

"Gorgeous Morena Baccarin, who played space hooker Inara in “Firefly,” may now have a second reason to work the comic-book convention circuit down the road.
Baccarin, who vaguely resembles original “V” lead alien Jane Badler, has just been cast in ABC's pilot for a remake of the 1983 miniseries about Nazi-ish lizard extraterrestrials who invade Earth.
Baccarin will play the alien leader opposite Scott Wolf and Morris Chestnut.
