I Am 31

I liked doing this post for my birthday last year, so I think today I'm just going to recycle it, with last year updated to reflect the entire year, and this new half-year added on. Why mess too much with a good thing, eh?

Say hello to my life in movies, Take 31!

What, what what?! No David Lynch, Greg Araki, Pedro Almodovar or David Cronenberg moments? JA, I'm shocked!

Happy Birthday Fella. Doing anything nice?

PS I saw Fringe this weekend. It's the best Abrams pilot I've seen...

Am I the only person who would see a romantic streak in your movie list?
Happy Birthday

It was impossibly, herb, narrowing it down to one movie per year... on my original post last year I posted a written list as well that had more titles on it, including ones from those filmmakers...

homeslaughter, I noticed it too. It's just you and me seeing those Piano Teacher and Happiness pics as romantic, though.

Nicely done, again. You should keep it going every year.

Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday, JA! I look forward to at least another 31 more years of reading your terrific blog (although I'm sure there will come a point when technology allows you to beam your thoughts directly into our brains at the push of a button). To the future!

I loved the feature you did last year, Ja. So simply yet it spoke volumes. This was also really great because, well, pictures!

Happy birthday!!

Glorious. Love the Pam Grier shot and especially that you included the majestically-bearded, scorchingly-hot Kurt Russell as MacReady. I bet that I could hold out from the clutches of certain, inevitable icy death after blowing The Thing sky-high if I had some JB and some MacReady around, no problem.
